Why do I need UK Web Hosting?
If you are targeting your website at a UK audience it is important to let the search engines know that. Ideally the tld (.co.uk, .com etc) will tell a search engine all it needs to know, but using a UK based server will also help, especially if you are using a .com or .net domain.
However, as a starting point, you can get a basic hosting package from as little as £20.00 per year as a standalone service!
We only use Linux servers as we feel they offer better security and more flexibility than their Windows counterparts. There are many articles on Linux versus Windows servers, but my own experience is that people stick with Windows as a web server just because they have heard of it. Unfortunately, this can sometimes be false economy.
